- Start with a plan.
- Make a list of everything you want to prep for the week.
- Multi-task
- The best way to ensure you get the most out of your allotted food prep time is to make sure you’re doing multiple things at once.
- Don’t go overboard
- Don’t prep more food than you and your family can finish by Thursday if you’re doing your prep on Sundays.
- Double the recipe
- If you’re making something like soup, burgers or casserole, consider doubling the recipe and putting half in the freezer for later.
- Target your trouble times
- Think about what time of the day you struggle most with healthy eating. Start with your trouble spots and then expand from there as you get more skilled and effective and food prep.
Here's a sneak peak into my Sunday Food Prep.
Mini Egg Quiches:
Simply pour egg whites into a muffin pan and top with your favorite veggies. Here I used mushrooms, fresh spinach, and tomatoes. Try lining the muffin tin with a slice of bacon (or turkey bacon) for added protein.

I also always make sure that I have fresh cut veggies, hard boiled eggs and protein bars on hand for quick snacks when I'm running errands or in between fitness glasses at the gym. My favorites include Picky Bars and GoMacro Bars.
Do you food prep? If so, we'd love for you to share your favorite food prep recipes with us to be featured on the blog.
Have a great week!!
